Women of the Range
This work was inspired by both Picasso and Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase." The subject is contemporary with a group of women golfers on the driving range. The painted images were then over-painted with a mix of naples yellow and varnish. The sufrface was the wiped with a cloth revealing the underlying images. The goal was to surprise the viewer and have them make the historical art connections. The sides are unfinished and hanging materials are included.
